About Anna (she/her)

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).  I also hold a Phd in Organizaitonal Behavioural and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Medicine.  I feel fortunate to have taken many career pivots, first, as an Occupational Therapist and then as an Executive in private and public healthcare organizations. My desire to practice psychotherapy stems from my wish for people to be intentional in achieving their unique potential.    I believe that therapy is a powerful tool that can help to raise our awareness of our untapped personal strengths.

AREAS OF FOCUS

You may have experienced many life changes.  I have experience in working with the following; however, this is not an exhaustive list:

·      Anxiety

·      Depression

·      Life stress

·      Low confidence,

·      Complicated grief

·      Trauma

·      Infertility and Pregnancy Loss

·      Relationship Changes

·      Work Stress and Burn-Out

·      Career Changes

·      Identity and Self-development

MY APPROACH

I use a goal-oriented and strength-based approach in therapy.  I also lean on my academic and business backgrounds to use evidence-based techniques based on neuroscience and psychological research.  I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to increase their self-awareness and use the tools offered in therapy to make positive life changes.  I work in private practice and offer sessions in a beautiful office setting or virtually for your convenience.  I believe, and research shows, that the relationship between the therapist and client is the key to meaningful and effective therapy. So, your consultation session is to check out whether you and I are a good fit, with no obligation to continue.  I look forward to meeting you!

THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES

Based on your goals, we will develop a treatment plan.  I believe everyone has unique needs and hence I use an integrative therapeutic treatment approach for your specific needs.
